EXAM PROCEDURE

Candidates must attend the chosen venue exclusively at the date and time booked. The test will begin after the identification and registration of the candidates present has been completed.

Candidates will be admitted to sit the test upon presentation of a valid identification document.

Each candidate will be asked to sign the attendance registration and will be assigned:

  • a PIN, containing the credentials required to access the exam platform;
  • blank sheets of paper and a pen for draft (notes/calculations), which will be the only aids allowed during the course of the test, except for candidates entitled to specific aids, in accordance with Italian Laws 104/92 and 170/10.

Candidates who arrive after the official start of the test will not be admitted to the test, notwithstanding a justification for the delay.

For the performance of the test, candidates will be provided with computers which are connected exclusively to the exam platform, on which it is possible to operate the software necessary for the performance of the test, via mouse input only. Each workstation may be used by any candidate, after entering the login credentials provided during registration.

Candidates will be accompanied to one of the available workstations by support staff, where they will LOG IN to the platform, where they will use the computer to review the general and behavioural instructions to be observed during the test.

The start of the exam will take place simultaneously for all candidates present; it will not be possible to activate and view the test until the appropriate time.

During the tests, candidates are not allowed to communicate with each other verbally or in writing, or to interact with any other people, except for classroom personnel. Additionally, candidates may not bring bags or backpacks, books or notes, glossaries, mobile phones, calculators or other electronic or computerised tools. Any candidate in possession of any such item, must deposit them in a place that will be indicated prior to the beginning of the test by the support staff. Violation of these prohibitions will result in exclusion from the test.

The exam platform allows for candidates to review all the questions and to modify or delete a previously selected answer, for the entire time available.

The candidate will be able to end the test before the scheduled time by selecting the "Close test" option, or they may remain in the classroom until the available time has expired. In both cases, the exam platform records and saves every action carried out until the last moment of use.

At the end of the exam, each candidate must remain seated at his or her workstation in silence, until the moment when the support staff authorise the candidates to leave the room.

You will be asked to keep and carry the PIN with you, and you must return the pen and all the draft paper used.

During the processing of the results, the combination of the candidate's PIN (provided at the time of identification) and the identification code of the test, generated at random only at the time the test is begun, will be automatically and uniquely combined for each candidate who has sat the test.

CANDIDATES WITH DISABILITIES AND DSA CANDIDATES

Candidates with disabilities, in accordance with Italian Law No. 104 of 5 February 1992, as well as candidates with temporary disabilities of any kind, must request the necessary aids, as well as any additional time needed to sit the test in relation to their disability. Candidates falling within the scope of application of Italian Law No. 170 of 8 October 2010, which containing New rules on specific learning disabilities in the school environment, may request facilitation provided by Ministerial Decree of the Ministry of Education, University and Research No. 5669 of 12 July 2011. It is also specified that candidates with diagnoses of specific learning disorders (DSA), as per Law No. 170/2010, must submit suitable certification issued no more than 3 years before, from the facilities of the Italian National Health Service or by specialists and facilities accredited by the same.

All requests, duly accompanied by appropriate medical certification, must be sent to the email address dsa.sd@unisr.it within the deadline for application for the exam indicated in each notice of competition.

MAKE-UP SESSIONS

It is specified that the exam platform records and saves every interaction and provides a timer that automatically restores the actual time, in any case of anomaly. Therefore, however improbable, any technical problems that may occur on individual computer workstations will be handled promptly by the technical assistance staff, who will always be present in the classroom. The candidate may continue the exam on his/her own workstation or, in case of failure to restore its correct functioning, on one of the available reserve workstations, without causing any penalisation for the usability of the test. Candidates are duly informed of the methods for dealing with such eventualities before the start of the test.

Only in the case where technical IT problems occur (for example, a failure of the network infrastructure) that prevent one or more candidates from the regular completion of the test, may a candidate attend an appropriate make-up session, intended exclusively for these affected candidates.

Any make-up session is dedicated solely to such cases indicated above and will only include candidates who attended the regular session correctly, and not those who were absent and did not take part, for whatever reason, in the session booked during registration.
